Cookies To help us serve you better, we
collect information that does not identify you personally, but rather identifies
your computer or browser. This is done by using little files called "cookies"
and by tracking IP addresses. A cookie is a small amount of data, which often
includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from a
Website's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies operate in
the background, and you can turn them off if you wish, but doing so can impair
your ability to use some of the features on our Website.
We will use
cookies to make our Website work better by, for example, keeping track of your
login name, and password.
We will also allow other companies that are
presenting advertisements or providing services on our pages to set and access
cookies on your computer. Those companies' use of cookies will be covered by
their own privacy policies, not ours. We will also use IP addresses to analyze
trends, help us administer the Website, track the movement of visitors, and
gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not
linked to personally identifiable information.
How and when is information disclosed to 3rd
parties?
In general, SportsBallot does not disclose your
personally identifiable information to any third party without first providing
you with an opportunity to opt out except in special situations described below,
such as to comply with the law or administer the site. Unless you have indicated
that you do not wish to receive special offers from SportsBallot sponsors during
registration, SportsBallot.com will make your personally identifiable
information available to selected sponsors. You can elect to opt-out at anytime
by clicking on the "Edit User Profile" link on the Help page and editing your personal information
preferences.

share aggregated demographic information with third parties, if you have so
indicated, but this information is not linked to any personal information that
can identify you or another individual person. Therefore, no personal
information is disclosed in this manner.
Business Transfers. In the event that all or
substantially all of SportsBallot's stock and/or assets are transferred or
sold to another entity, SportsBallot.com will transfer personally identifiable
information to the acquiring entity. Users will be notified via prominent
notice on our Web site for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of
their personal information.
Third-Party Advertisers and Network Advertisers
To help increase privacy protections for our users, SportsBallot
allows advertising on our sites from only those companies that have their own
privacy policy. Once you've clicked on an advertisement and have left
SportsBallot sites, our privacy policy no longer applies. You must read the
privacy policy of the advertiser to see how your personal information will be
handled on their site. In addition, many business advertisements are managed and
placed on our site by third-party companies. These companies are called "network
advertisers." Network advertisers collect non-personally identifiable
information when you click on or scan one of their banner advertisements. The
information is collected using technology, so you may not realize it is being
collected. The network advertisers collect this information so that they can
show you ads that are more relevant and interesting to you.
Organizations That Help Protect the Security and Safety
of Our Guests and Our Sites We will give out personal information as
required by law, for example, to comply with a court order or subpoena; to
enforce our Terms of Service, or site or game rules; or to protect the safety
and security of users and our sites. Our registration contains a box for you to
indicate whether or not you consent to receive special offers and promotions
from us. Unless you give us your consent to use your personal information for
these purposes, we will only use it to complete the transaction or provide the
service or product you have requested. If you check a box indicating that you
consent to receive communications or solicitations, but you later change your
mind, you can revise your preferences by first logging into SportsBallot.com
and clicking "Edit Your Profile" on the Help page. Disclosure for Legal Purposes: The law
requires that we will be required to share your personal information pursuant to
judicial or governmental subpoenas, warrants or orders. If we are required to do
so, we will, of course, obey the law.
